I agree with your stance on this issue Jenny.
There are only sinners. There is no such thing as good people when we compare ourselves to God’s holiness. The Bible is clear. Some simply refuse to heed Scripture’s teaching on this matter.
1. Sinners who pay for their own sin suffer eternal seperation from God.
2. Sinners who accept Jesus, have Jesus’ blood atone for their sins. Their sins are exchanged for Christ’s righteousness. People who puts their faith and trust in Christ and seek to live obedient God honoring lives will continue their relationship with God for eternity, enjoying God’s presence forever.

I can’t tell you how much the use of the cross in the illustration hits home. Too often I think people believe Jesus is so holy, and we are so un-holy, that the gap between us and him becomes too wide for an intimate relationship-but understanding that no matter where we are at, the cross can bridge any gap, no matter how deep we think we have gone.

I had heard a long time Christian saying that God is love, He won’t send non-Christian “good” people to hell. The Bible says everyone is a sinner and Jesus is the only way to heaven. But somehow there are Christians who don’t believe the Word of God.

I especially appreciated the 2nd video where you said, “If I am struggling with forgiveness and Jesus says, ‘Well Nick, you should forgive more’ that doesn’t help me.”
A gospel of do and don’t isn’t good news and it doesn’t help anyone. It’s like Red Bull that sounds good and may even make you feel motivated for a while but then it crashes you.

Absolutely.
I would say that worship without being clear about who you are worshiping doesn’t make for very meaningful worship either. I think that is a problem in our churches. We worship a very vague God who is “wonderful”, “lovely”, uses words we don’t know, and enjoys long walks on the beach while listening to very boring music.
